What's the difference between BB cream, CC cream, and foundation?
Asked a year ago
Hey community, I'm feeling a tad overwhelmed with the choices in the makeup aisle these days. I've come across BB creams, CC creams, and of course, the regular foundations. I'm honestly not sure about the distinctions and when to use which. Can anyone help clarify the main differences between BB cream, CC cream, and foundation for me? I want to make an informed decision for my daily makeup routine. Thanks for shedding some light on this!

BB cream is a tinted balm that has skin-loving ingredients meant to target a skin issue and lightly cover blemishes. CC cream is similar to BB cream; it just has more tint, so it has more coverage but still makes you look natural. Both can be applied with your fingers. While some foundations are serum-based, they are still a lot more tinted than both BB and CC creams. Foundations are also traditionally applied with a tool, such as a sponge or brush.
