How do you contour and highlight when you want a more dramatic, evening look?

Asked a year ago

Hello everyone! When I'm heading out for a special evening, I want my contour and highlight to be on point. How do you adjust your contouring and highlighting routine for a more dramatic, evening look? Any pointers would be so appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hey! So there are two ways to accentuate your contour and highlight:

Opt for a shade or half a shade lighter concealer and a darker contour. This is best done with cream products first because they are easier to blend. Then don’t forget to set with either a translucent setting powder or highlight and contour powders of the same shade.

Reverse contour! This is a trick that drag queens and makeup artists have done for years. For example, after applying and blending your cream contour, you can apply a one-shade lighter concealer or foundation underneath the contour—on your jawline. Then blend this downward towards your neck! Check the image
