How do you choose the perfect highlighter shade for your skin tone?

Hey! I’m of the belief that any skin tone can use most highlighter shades. It just all depends on the look you prefer. However, for everyday makeup, you can choose a highlighter shade based on the undertone of your skin. If you have a warm undertone, a gold highlighter would look beautiful on your skin. There are varying shades of gold highlighters, from a nearly white highlight to a very dark gold that nearly looks bronze. If you have a fairer complexion with a warm undertone, then white gold would suit you perfectly. While deeper skin tones with a warm undertone will suit a standard gold shade or a bronze for the deepest skin tones.

On the other hand, if you have a cool undertone, a silver or even a pink-toned highlighter would look so beautiful on your skin. With this undertone, the same concept as the warm undertones would apply when it comes to choosing the correct silver highlighter for you.
