What's the difference between liquid and cream foundation?
Asked a year ago
Hi everyone, I've always used liquid foundation, but lately I've been curious about trying cream foundations. Before making the switch, I'm trying to understand their differences. Can anyone explain the main distinctions between liquid and cream foundation? And perhaps which might be better suited for certain skin types or finishes? I'm feeling a bit torn and could use some clarity. Thanks for any insights!

The key contrast is that liquid foundation, depending on its formula, can provide you with any level of coverage, whereas cream foundation offers medium to full coverage.
There are also several formula variations of liquid foundation, hence why all skin types can find a liquid foundation that works for them.
If you have oily skin, a cream foundation isn’t the best choice for you. This type of foundation works best for mature and dry skin. Cream foundations are usually hydrating, and depending on their formula can provide a matte or dewy finish.
