Hello there! Can anyone please share some personal experiences about the distinctions between liquid and gel eyeliners? I'm curious to learn about their unique qualities, pros, and cons based on your hands-on expertise. TY

Hey, so the main difference between gel and liquid eyeliners is the texture.
Gel eyeliners are more gel-like, and they tend to glide over the eyes. From my observations, I’d say that gel eyeliners are generally more pigmented and tend to dry down to a matte finish. They also mainly come in the form of pots, and you’d use an eyeliner brush of your choosing. You can also find gel eyeliners in pencil form.
The con with this type of eyeliner is that it can be messy, and if not stored correctly, the gel eyeliner will completely dry.
On the other hand, liquid eyeliners are liquid in texture, and you can find liquid eyeliners that dry down completely matte or with a slight sheen. Good-quality liquid eyeliners are pigmented and do not drag on the eyes. This type of eyeliner usually comes with a felt pen or brush tip. The con with liquid eyeliner is that some are too watery for beginners, especially the liquid eyeliners that come with a brush tip. However, the felt-tip liquid eyeliners are great for beginners.
