Are there any specific eyeliner techniques that work better for mature eyes with hooded lids?

Hi everyone,  I have mature eyes with hooded lids, and getting eyeliner to look just right can be quite the struggle. I'm curious to know if anyone else with similar eye features has discovered specific eyeliner techniques that work exceptionally well for hooded lids and aging skin. Thank you!

Hi, so here are my tips. To be clear, this takes practice, patience, and keeping in mind that eyeliner never looks the same every day.

Apply a base or clear eyelid primer to your lid before starting your eyeliner application. 
Choose a waterproof eyeliner, as this is less likely to smudge onto your upper lid.
Start by applying a thin line of eyeliner along your lash line; never start off with a thick line.
Open your eyes and analyze how the liner looks as you do your wing. This will ensure that both eyes are as even as possible and that the eyeliner is visible and up to your standards.
