Top recommendations for achieving a seamless contour-to-highlight transition?

Based on my makeup artistry experience, using a contour and highlight of similar consistency results in a seamless blend. For example, if you are using a cream highlighting concealer, you should also use a darker concealer of the same consistency. This is helpful not only in how the makeup looks in the end but also in how you blend both, as you’ll likely use the same type of blending makeup tool.

My second tip is to start with a light amount of product and add as much as you need. This is because it is more difficult to blend when you have too much on. You don’t want to run the risk of having a harsh highlight or a muddy contour.

Another tip is to not be afraid to blend the edges of your highlight and contour. Blend as much as you can until you cannot see where one begins or ends. If you feel like you’ve blended too much, then add more!
